1954 Ford F100 (Complete Restoration)
In 1954, the F100 was in its second year of production, before it became one of the leaders in the pickup truck segment - and before its untimely death to the F150. The F100 was a true workhorse, but yet was meant to sort of emulate a car's interior comfort wise - some may say this was the first modern pickup truck on the market. This example has been completely restored down to the frame. The engine is correct to what would have been fitted onto this model, the 239 cu in. V8 Power King as it was nicknamed. This was a very carefully done restoration job as one could tell. The wood finish in the bed makes you not want to even think about using this truck for its intended purpose. The fantastic reupholster and restoration of the cockpit - the Dolphin gauges compliment the brushed metal backing on the dashboard. The tan seats with red accents compliment the 2 tone paint on this beauty - all done with an extreme attention to detail. The paint and frame are both in fantastic condition, making this truck seem like it just rolled off the assembly line of the Dallas plant in 1954.
