The third generation of America's tried and true sports car was introduced in 1968 to somewhat mixed reviews from the public. General Motors had been designing and developing the C3 corvettes concept even before the big block C2's were accessible to the public, so there was clear dedication to the success of this car. The mixed reviews turned favorable in time however, and today this is an example of what a corvette should be, untamed and unforgiving - America's tried and true sports car. Carrying an L71 427 cubic inch V8 this beast spits out around 435 hp at 5,400 RPM and 460 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 RPM, very impressive numbers for the time, and just as impressive in today's landscape of performance automobiles. The blue exterior paint compliments the gorgeous curvature of this long nose “shark”. For those who are looking for originality and documentation, this Corvette comes with its original blue on blue interior in absolutely pristine condition, really complimenting the exterior paint and sending you right back to the late 60's every time you sit down, Chevy's Protect-O-Plate for documentation of every original feature on this car, and the original tank sticker. The carburetors have been restored in 2019, and the engine has been rebuilt and repainted. The body has around 66,000 original miles with no sign of any rust on the International Blue paint job. Every aspect of this car is in working order, with minimal wear considering its age. The C3 corvettes handle like European sports cars but with plenty of old school American flare, a perfect balance - as everything should be.
