1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car 396 CI V8
This car happens to be a piece of history for any automotive race enthusiast. A replica of the official pace car for the Indianapolis 500 on May 30, 1969. This is one of the 3,675 produced by Chevrolet in the late 60's for dealerships across the United States. This example was sold new by Jack Williams Chevrolet, in Fort Worth Texas back in 1969. The options on this muscle car included the L34 396 Cubic Inch V8 that produced around 350 horsepower from the factory, along with the 4-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, FM radio and a body color Endura front bumper. The car was professionally restored in 1988, and is fitted with power steering and power brakes, just for a little modernized touch. There are 25,618 miles on this pace car, making it a great example of well-preserved American muscle - it was never beat on, or driven into the ground like a lot of old school muscle cars, just a well taken care of, garage kept piece of Camaro history.
